Material

  • sweet potatoes
  • jaggery or sugar
  • cardamom powder
  • Cheese
  • oat flour
  • Ghee

Method of preparation

  1. boil: First of all boil the sweet potatoes. While it is boiling, prepare the syrup. The syrup can be made from jaggery or sugar and it has to be brought to a string consistency.
  2. mash: Peel the boiled sweet potatoes and mash them well.
  3. make the mixture: Add grated cheese, oat flour, and cardamom powder to mashed sweet potatoes. Mix all the ingredients well.
  4. Make Gulab Jamun: Grease your hands with ghee and take small pieces from the mixture and shape them into gulab jamuns.
  5. Fry: Heat ghee in a pan, add all the gulab jamuns and fry till they turn golden.
  6. dip in syrup: Dip the fried gulab jamuns in sugar syrup for some time and then serve.

tip

If your gulab jamuns curdle while making them, make sure you knead the mixture well with your palm. This process will make them uniform and strong.
