Swearing-In Ceremony To Be Held In Mumbai’s Azad Maidan On Dec 5 | X/@Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai, November 30: The oath-taking ceremony of the MahaYuti government will be held on Thursday, December 5 at Azad Maidan. Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule took to his official social media account and informed about the oath-taking ceremony’s time and venue. However, it is not yet clear as who will be the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
He said that the ceremony will be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 5 PM in the evening at Azad Maidan which is located in South Mumbai.
Bawankule tweeted and said, “Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Maha-Yuti Government in Maharashtra. The ceremony will be held in the presence of the pride of the world, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 5 PM, at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. This captures the essence and format of the Marathi and Hindi announcements.”
The MahaYuti alliance which consists of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde faction and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Ajit Pawar faction won the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 with thumping majority. They collectively clinched 230 seats out of the 288 assembly seats in the state. BJP became the single largest party with 132 seats, followed by Shiv Sena Shinde faction with 57 seats and Ajit Pawar’s NCP getting 41 seats.
There are speculations that Devendra Fadnavis will be the new chief minister of Maharashtra due to BJP’s outstanding performance during the recently held elections. However, there is still suspense over the name of the new chief minister of Maharashtra. The BJP had announced that the state will get its new chief minister by November 26 after the results were announced on November 23, however, there is still no clarity over the name of the chief minister till date.
