Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has clarified that certain screenshots of her alleged social media posts, which have been widely shared online, are completely fake. She urged people to verify facts before spreading misinformation.

The fabricated posts falsely attributed to her included one blaming actor Vicky Kaushal and the makers of Chhaava for inciting the Nagpur riots, demanding a ban on the film. Another post allegedly supported comedian Kunal Kamra’s freedom of expression while blaming supporters of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for vandalism.

Dismissing these as false, Swara shared the screenshots along with a strong rebuttal. “Both these tweets being circulated by the RW (right-wing) ecosystem are fake. Neither is tweeted by me. Pls check your facts everyone,” she wrote.

She also posted screenshots of trolls targeting her for the fake posts, calling out those responsible for spreading misinformation. “RW idiots back to what they do best – spreading fake images and memes,” she added.

Soon after Swara shared the post, a section of X users pointed out that the viral screenshots look photoshopped.

Reacting to Swara’s post, a netizen wrote, “It clearly is photoshopped, it’s so pixalated plus the profile picture has some background to it. Such a shoddy job with photoshop (sic).”

“You don’t need to worry, everyone knows the truth and the whole country stands with you,” wrote another user.

Reacting to Swara’s post, X AI chatbot Grok, developed by Elon Musk, replied, “The fake tweets attributed to Swara Bhasker likely came from accounts critical of her, possibly in a misinformation campaign. Evidence suggests they were shared as images, not posts, making the source hard to trace. Accounts like @Pora_Babu might be involved, but no clear origin was found.”

Swara, known for her outspoken views, has often been at the center of online controversies. She is also subjected to trolling and hate because of her political views and opinions.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Swara made her film debut with a supporting role in the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking. She was last seen in the film Jahaan Chaar Yaar in 2022.

The actress next has Mrs Falani in the pipeline. While the shoot of the film has been completed, its release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
