Mumbai: Svarang Art Initiative debuted with its inaugural art event of a solo exhibition by renowned artist Kanchan Todi. The exhibition “Cosmic Imprints” will be on display from January 10 to 12 at The Bombay Art Society in Bandra West.

Svarang Art Initiative, which is dedicated to supporting artists and promoting diverse forms of creativity, inaugurated the Todi’s solo exhibition titled “Cosmic Imprints: A Canvas of Spiritual Reflections.”

The event was inaugurated by national spokesperson of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Shriraj Nair. The event also witnessed additional director general of Doordarshan Neeraj Agarwal, renowned singer Aparna Mayekar, and actress Iravati Harshe as the guests of honour.

The exhibition is curated by Varsha Karale and presented by Svarang Art Initiative, which has been co-founded by Kanchan Todi, Vikrant Shitole, and Aashish Rego.

Kanchan Todi, a self-taught artist born in 1974, is celebrated for her abstract expressionist works that delve into themes of sacred femininity, soul evolution, and the primordial force of creation. Her series, including Sacred Feminine Rising and Womb Journey, draw inspiration from the concept of Hiranya-garbha, which is the golden womb of creation.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Kanchan Todi is a dedicated philanthropist. Through The Kanchan Foundation, she has focused on women’s welfare and children’s education for over 15 years. She also co-founded the Tinte Foundation, advocating for animal welfare, and played a pivotal role in relief efforts with the Navi Mumbai Police during the COVID-19 pandemic.
