After the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a closure report in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey questioned the working style of the Mumbai Police regarding the case.

He said that there was doubt in the public’s mind regarding the investigation of the Mumbai Police. However, she refused to comment directly on the CBI’s closure report and said it is a professional agency, which takes a decision based on the evidence.

‘I never said that Sushant was killed’ – Gupteshwar Pandey

Former DGP Gupteshwar Pandey made it clear that he never claimed that Sushant was killed.

  • He said, “I just said that his death is suspicious and should be investigated deeply.”

  • He accused the Mumbai Police of not cooperating with the Bihar police team.

  • The IPS officer sent from Bihar was forcibly qualified, so that his team did not get a chance to conduct a chance.

‘Mumbai Police did not allow Bihar Police to investigate’

Talking to the news agency ANI, Gupteshwar Pandey said that the attitude of the Mumbai Police was suspicious.

  • “When the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death came, the matter got cold in 20 days.”

  • “20 days later, Sushant’s father lodged an FIR in Patna and a team of Bihar Police was sent to Mumbai for investigation.”

  • “But the Maharashtra Police did not cooperate.”

  • “When I sent an IPS officer for better coordination, he was qualified.”

He also said,
“If the Mumbai Police had given a press conference to the public properly, then people would not have raised doubts and they would not have been infamous.”

‘CBI did not find all evidence or some destroyed’

Regarding the investigation of CBI, Gupteshwar Pandey said that there is a possibility that the agency would not have found all the evidence or some evidence would have been destroyed in advance.

  • “The CBI investigated the case, but my team was not given a chance.”

  • “The Bihar Police team was sent back after 5 days, and the IPS officer sent was qualified for 10 days.”

  • “It is possible that some important evidence may have been destroyed, causing the CBI to reach a concrete conclusion.”

He said that he does not want to comment on the CBI report, as it is a professional agency.

“If CBI did not find any concrete evidence, what else could she do?” – Gupteshwar Pandey

Did CBI’s closure report end the case?

Even after the CBI filed a closure report, many questions related to Sushant’s death are still unresolved.

  • Questions have been raised on the investigation of the Mumbai Police.

  • Why was Bihar Police not allowed to be involved in the investigation?

  • Was CBI found all the evidence in this case or some destroyed?

Although the case can be formally closed after the CBI report, Sushant’s fans and family are still expecting justice.
