The CBI (Bureau of Investigation) has filed its closure report in the case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. However, raising this report, Disha Salian’s father’s lawyer Nilesh C. Ojha said that this report does not matter in the eyes of the law. He claimed that the court may still order further investigation by taking cognizance of the matter.
“No one was given a clean chit” – advocate Nilesh Ojha
Lawyer Nilesh Ojha said,
“People are spreading false things that everyone has got a clean chit with the closure report. It is not so. The court can still reopen the case, issue an arrest warrant, or order further investigations, as the Aarushi Talwar was in the murder.”
Disha Salian Case: Demand again investigation and questioning Aditya Thackeray
Nilesh Ojha, who is representing Disha Salian’s father, has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court demanding a re -investigation into his daughter’s death. Apart from this, he has also demanded questioning of Uddhav Thackeray’s group (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray. The next hearing date in this case has been fixed on 2 April 2024.
What is the case of death of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian?

Disha Salian was found dead under suspicious circumstances on 8 June 2020, falling from a building in Mumbai.

6 days later, on 14 June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in his Bandra.

Both these deaths gave rise to major controversy across the country and later the responsibility of investigation was entrusted to the CBI.
CBI Closure Report: What was said?
The CBI has filed separate closure report in two cases related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput:

First case – Sushant’s father K.K. It was lodged by Singh, in which he alleged that his son was encouraged to commit suicide.

Second case – This was lodged against Sushant’s sisters by Riya Chakraborty, in which he accused him of giving him wrong medicines.
The CBI submitted a closure report before the special court of Patna in the case filed by Sushant’s father, while in the special court of Mumbai presented the case reported by Riya Chakraborty.

Riya Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde welcomed the CBI closure report. They said,
“We thank the CBI that he investigated every aspect and looked at the case from every angle.”
Can the court order an inquiry again?

If the court feels that the investigation is incomplete, it can again open the case and order further investigation.
