Lucknow, 09 November (H.C.). Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi gave necessary instructions to ensure the availability of fertilizers to operate the sowing of Rabi crop in the state smoothly. In the review meeting held at Vidhan Bhavan on Saturday, the Agriculture Minister directed that 100 percent of the phosphate fertilizers allotted by the Government of India for the month of November should be supplied. Fertilizer companies informed that the fertilizer rack sent from the port to the state is taking longer to reach, causing the supply to be delayed. Despite having sufficient fertilizer stock at Paradip port, it is becoming challenging to send this stock on time due to the non -availability of rail rakes. On this, the Agriculture Minister negotiated the telephone with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and urged that the availability of fertilizer rack should be ensured in view of sowing of Rabi crop.
In addition, the Agriculture Minister discussed the priority of fertilizers in the supply of fertilizers from Kandla Port in the western regions of the state and Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, Ministry of Fertilizers and Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Principal Secretary Cooperatives were instructed to ensure that IFFCO, Krubco and other private sector companies were distributed through at least 30 percent fertilizer packs. District Magistrates of all the districts were also directed to provide fertilizer to the farmers as per the requirement of the officials of the Revenue Department as per the requirement. Black marketing and over rating of fertilizers should be monitored and farmers should use balanced fertilizer as per their requirement. Instructions have also been given to make farmers aware about TSP and NPK fertilizers for the use of balanced amounts of fertilizers.
On November 9, 2 lakh metric tonnes of DAP and 2.47 lakh metric tons of NPK fertilizer are available for farmers in the state. 4973 MT DAP and 5148 MT NPK in Saharanpur division, 6933 MT DAP in Meerut and 7751 MT NPK, 6182 MT DAP in Agra and 12291 MT DAP and 12291 MT NPK, 8303 metric ton DAP in Aligarh and 8303 MT NPK in Aligarh Bareilly has 12890 MT DAP and 22438 MT NPK, 8075 MT DAP in Moradabad and 23458 MT NPK.
Apart from this, 12290 MT DAP in Kanpur division and 26330 MT NPK, 9025 MT DAP in Prayagraj and 21221 MT NPK, 11046 MT in Jhansi 11046 MT DAP and 4782 MT NPK, 4782 MT NPK, 4476 MT DAP in Chitrakut Dham Mandal and 393 MM in Chitrakut Dham Mandal Ton NPK, 19439 MT DAP in Varanasi and 12767 MT NPK, 9807 MT DAP in Mirzapur and 5580 MT NPK, 17519 MT DAP in Azamgarh and 17663 MT NPK, 18005 MT DA and 14070 in Gorkhapur MT NPK, 8892 MT DAP in Basti and 4758 MT NPK, 11908 MT DAP in Devipatan and 10106 MT NPK, 17662 MT in Lucknow and 17662 MT DAP and 31384 MT NPK and 31384 MT and 19075 in Ayodhya Mandal Metric tons NPK fertilizer is available. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Agriculture Ravindra, Principal Secretary Cooperative MP Agarwal, Agriculture Secretary Anurag Yadav, Agriculture Director Jitendra Tomar, Joint Director Ashutosh Mishra and Senior PCF officer Vinod Kumar.
