Kanpur, 24 October (H.C.). In the by -election in Sisamau assembly seat, the BJP has once again expressed confidence in Suresh Awasthi. Although the difference of his defeat in 2017 was not much, there was a long list of contenders. At the same time, Naseem Solanki, wife of former SP MLA Irfan Solanki, is a candidate. The BSP has also fielded its candidate in the by -election this time, but it is believed that there will be a direct competition between SP and BJP itself.

SP’s Irfan Solanki has put full force this time to win the Sisamau assembly seat which was vacant after being sentenced to seven years from the court. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath first made a rally at the GIC ground and made it clear that this time the election will be fought on the issue of development. Since then, there was an equal tour of Minister in -charge of this seat and cabinet minister Suresh Khanna and co -in -charge minister Nitin Aggarwal. Despite the atmosphere being BJP, the selection of the candidate remained a big challenge. Sometimes the matter of a Dalit candidate was coming out and sometimes a Brahmin or sometimes a Vaishya. Former MLA Rakesh Sonkar had also bought the form and also met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Despite all this, the former candidate was finally held by Suresh Awasthi, who was a former candidate. The party announced the name of Suresh Awasthi on Thursday. In such a situation, Suresh Awasthi will once again present a direct challenge to the Solanki family.

Solanki family has been winning for six times

Irfan Solanki has been winning Sisamau assembly seat for three consecutive times. Earlier, the region was known as Arya Nagar seat. In that too, Irfan Solanki has won and before that his father Haji Mushtaq Solanki also became an MLA twice. Thus the Solanki family has been winning from this region for six consecutive times. This time, the Solanki family is once again in the by -election and Irfan Solanki’s wife Nasim Solanki is the SP candidate. The Solanki family has been winning from the Samajwadi Party six times in a row.

Three times defeat in factionalism

In 2009, there was a change in the areas of all the assembly seats of Kanpur under delimitation. By 2007, about 60 percent of the seat which was known as Aryanagar went to Sisamau Assembly. In such a situation, the Solanki family started contesting on Sisamau seat and Irfan Solanki became MLA for three consecutive times. The BJP lost three times due to factionalism, while the BJP had an opportunity to win. The reason behind this is that after delimitation, about 40 percent of the Muslim population who was an important voter of the SP went to Aryanagar. Despite this, the BJP is constantly facing defeat.

Suresh Awasthi is getting defeat from twice

When Suresh Awasthi was nominated by BJP from Sisamau seat in 2017, he had to face defeat. In such a situation, the party next time gave Suresh Awasthi a ticket from Aryanagar seat to end factionalism in 2022 and gave ticket to Salil Vishnoi, who contested from Arya Nagar, from Sisamau. But factionalism did not end and both lost the election. This time it was expected that the BJP would play a Dalit card to win, but finally Suresh Awasthi was once again successful in becoming a candidate. However, in the by -election, tremendous preparations have been made by the BJP organization and the path of Solanki family is not easy.

Lotus has not fed for 28 years

For the first time in the Ram temple wave on Sisamau seat, Kamal feeding in 1991 and party candidate Rakesh Sonkar won. After this, twice in a row and BJP’s Rakesh Sonkar won. After 1996, Kamal did not feed this seat and this time the BJP is trying to end 28 years of drought in the by -election.

There will be a direct competition with SP

The SP party is very strong on Sisamau seat and the Solanki family is continuously winning. Former MLA Irfan Solanki is definitely lodged in Maharajganj jail in the by -election, but the sympathy voters are no less towards the Solanki family. In view of this, SP has nominated his wife Nasim Solanki as a candidate. It is not going to be easy for the BJP to defeat Naseem on this seat in the possession of SP. At present, the BJP has given full strength to capture this seat. In such a situation, it is believed that there will be a direct competition between Suresh Awasthi and Naseem Solanki.
