Bollywood’s famous filmmaker Suraj Barjatya recently received the National Award for Best Director for the film ‘Height’. The film featured Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.

During an interview recently, Suraj Barjatya made an interesting disclosure about Amitabh Bachchan. He described Big B as ‘scary’, but what is the reason behind this? Let’s know.

Making of ‘height’ and election of Amitabh Bachchan

Suraj Barjatya said that he had locked the script of ‘height’ in 2016, but at that time it was not decided that he himself would direct it.

“When the story of ‘height’ came to me, I liked it very much. At that time I was not doing something special, so I thought something should be challenging.”

He then wrote a script in 2-3 months and decided to make a film. But the biggest challenge in front of him was to cast Amitabh Bachchan in this film.

Why Suraj Barjatya scared of Big B?

Suraj Barjatya made a fun disclosure about Amitabh Bachchan, saying,

“He listens with his eyes. He does not even blink his eyes, and it is scared.”

He told that when he sent the story of ‘height’ to Amitabh Bachchan, Big B replied through zoom call.

“I had to take two anxiety medicines before opening that call.”

Everyone laughed after hearing this, but it became evident that Amitabh Bachchan’s personality and his deep eyes can make anyone nervous.

Suraj Barjatya’s strong return from ‘height’

‘Height’ was built under the banner of Rajshree Production and was a return to Suraj Barjatya’s direction.

  • Earlier, he formed ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in 2015, which included Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

  • ‘Height’ was an emotional drama, which has also performed well at the box office.

Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming projects

Amitabh Bachchan’s previous film was ‘Wettaiyan’, in which he was seen opposite Rajinikanth.

Now he is going to be seen in ‘section 84’, in which he will be accompanied by Abhishek Banerjee.
