Pune: Supriya Sule Urges Ajit Pawar To Resolve Traffic Woes In Hinjawadi | X/@supriya_sule

NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule on Friday urged Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is also Pune’s Guardian Minister, to resolve the persistent traffic issues in Hinjawadi.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Baramati MP wrote, “Hinjawadi is home to the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park. Engineers, technicians and employees in the IT sector from India and abroad live in this area or commute for work. This area is important for international business in this sense. But the condition of the roads in this area has deteriorated significantly.”

“A large amount of construction work is going on in the area, and the vehicles required for this are always on the roads. Due to this, travelling on the roads in this area has become dangerous. There is already a traffic jam in this area. On top of it, metro work is going on here. This has added to the suffering of the citizens,” she added.

Sule stated that a few days ago, two youths died in an accident here, and after this incident, some important decisions need to be taken regarding road safety. “I request that the Guardian Minister of Pune pay immediate attention to this matter, find a solution, and provide relief to the citizens,” she concluded.

Earlier on Thursday, the NCP-SP Working President asked Pawar to address the rising criminal incidents in Pune and its nearby areas. Sule emphasised that such incidents are negatively impacting the industrial development of the region.

“Crime has increased significantly in Pune city and its surroundings. This is affecting the industrial development of the city. If this situation continues, it may affect the investment and employment opportunities in this area in the future. This is a very serious matter. The state home department and the guardian minister of Pune should please take serious note of this and take necessary measures,” she said.
