Baramati MP Supriya Sule on Thursday met Union Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi to discuss matters concerning National Highway No. 4. The focus was on the upcoming work on the highway between Swaminarayan Mandir and Warje Over Bridge.

The Narhe area where the bridge connects Pune city with the Mumbai-Bangalore highway, is a part of Sule’s Lok Sabha constituency.

During the meeting, a memorandum was submitted requesting the widening of the Bhumkar Chowk bridge in the Narhe area and measures to reduce the rising number of accidents in the region.

The meeting was attended by NCP MP Dr Amol Kolhe, Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil, Bajrang Sonawane, Suresh (Balya Mama) Mhatre, Bhaskar Bhagare, Sachin Dodke, Fahad Ahmed, and others. The traffic congestion and accidents at Bhumkar Chowk in Narhe have been a growing concern.
