Kicking off their journey is a rigorous training bootcamp, where they will live and train together, facing both the challenges and triumphs of a reality competition. To guide them through this transformative process as they seek to master every aspect of the industry, a team of exceptional mentors has been assembled.
Karthikeyan Somasundram will refine their acting and hosting skills, dance maestro Rameshwara will bring rhythm and flair to their performances, while renowned model Rathi Menon will perfect their photoshoot and catwalk techniques. Together, these mentors will push the contestants to ensure they shine brighter than ever on the big stage.
After their intensive training, the journey ahead on V Supreme will see contestants facing a series of thrilling challenges designed to push their creative limits. Not only will they have to demonstrate their versatility through captivating fashion displays featuring the dazzling glitz and glamour of Hollywood to the timeless elegance of traditional Indian wear, they will also have to excel in mystery acting performances as well as wit-testing hosting segments as they attempt to perform under pressure.
With behind-the-scenes glimpses of blossoming friendships to fiery rivalries, weekly eliminations raising the stakes, and surprise appearances by local Indian celebrities further heightening the surprise element, fans can anticipate a truly entertaining viewing experience.
Who are the judges?
Judging their weekly performances will be a distinguished panel of experts.
Jabur Deen Faruk: He began his acting career in 2013 as a calefare — working in small and minor roles — and quickly rose to prominence with his role in Vettai 3, earning the “Best Newcomer Award” at Pradhana Vizha 2016. His talent was further recognised in 2022 when he won two Pradhana Vizha awards for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” and “Best Actor in a Supporting Role”. With over 20 drama series, docudramas, and game shows to his name, Jabur has become a household name. Now, he aims to use his expertise to discover and nurture new talent.
Annetha Ayyavoo: A trailblazer in the media industry with nearly 30 years of experience, Annetha is celebrated as the first Asian and Singaporean to win the “Best Model of the World” title, in 1998. Her illustrious career spans television commercials for global brands, a Pradhana Vizha award for “Best Female Singer”, and decades of mentoring talent in prestigious pageants like “Miss Vasantham”. Also, an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Technological University and National Institute of Education, Annetha’s multifaceted expertise as a model, singer, actor, and pageant coach cements her legacy as a style icon and industry leader.
Jaenani Netra: An award-winning actress, host, and executive producer with over 20 years in the media industry. Specialising in content strategy, programming, and international content sales, Jaenani previously served as General Manager and Executive Director of Hi5, where she played a pivotal role in global brand positioning and successful industry partnerships. A skilled negotiator and strategic leader, Jaenani continues to excel in managing high-value projects while exploring new opportunities in the media space.
JK Saravana: A renowned Singaporean mediapreneur with over two decades of experience in creating milestone Tamil television programmes for Mediacorp. He has mentored numerous media professionals. At 25, he became India’s youngest film producer with his hit film Chennai 600028. Saravana has since worked in various roles, including producer, director, writer, lyricist, singer, and actor.
Who are the contestants?
Alex: A 21-year-old medical student with a passion for performing, including dancing, singing, and fitness.
Dhivya: A 19-year-old finance and banking student with a passion for acting and reading.
Geja Shreya: A 21-year-old Law and Economics student with a passion for volunteering and event organisation.
Jessie: A 37-year-old Student Health Advisor, inspired by the iconic Indian actor Rajini’s wisdom and perseverance.
Kalithasan: A 48-year-old Senior Recovery Officer, a proud father passionate about acting, singing, and comedy.
Krishmita: A 20-year-old International Relations student, passionate about inspiring others and involved in teaching and volunteering.
Md Ashraf: A 24-year-old Aerospace Engineering student, freelance actor, and content creator.
Naavinraj: A 29-year-old Facility Account Manager, passionate about cooking, event styling, and collecting kurtas.
Sheena: A 20-year-old Medical Biotechnology student, passionate about acting and deeply connected to Tamil media.
Varun: A 20-year-old BSc Computer Science student with a passion for fitness, acting, and modelling.
Yazhini: An 18-year-old Electrical and Electronic Engineering student, a freelance events host with a passion for the Tamil language.
Yugesh Kannan: 23-year-old Political Science student, passionate about acting, hosting, writing, and football.
“True to the company’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and showcasing their artistry on a national platform, this exciting programme will highlight the contestants’ intensive training sessions and their raw, dynamic performances as they journey through the weeks. Audiences can also look out for unfiltered, behind-the-scenes drama and stories that will add on to the dramatic viewing experience of this reality competition!” an official news release from Mediacorp stated.
In the grand finale, the top four contestants will battle it out in a spectacular showdown. The finale will feature glamourous catwalks, impromptu acting challenges, and outdoor campaigns supporting meaningful causes.
The contestants will also face their ultimate test in a nerve-wreaking Q&A segment with the judges, followed an audience-driven megaphone poll, before the next big star of V Supreme claims their rightful place in the spotlight in a glittering crowning ceremony.
V Supreme will kick off on 29 December and will be available every Sunday at 9pm on mewatch and Vasantham. The live episodes will also later be available on Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube.
