Both teams scored 188 runs, due to which the first match of IPL 2025 went to the super over. Chasing a target of 12 runs, Delhi Capitals won the match thanks to Triston Stabs and KL Rahul’s innings and also scored two important points, in which the DC batsman performed brilliantly and won just four balls with 2, 4, 1 and a match winning six in just four balls. Significantly, before this exciting match, the last IPL Super Over was in 2021, when Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 159 runs. In that match too, DC finally won in the super over.
