Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and his son-in-law, Indian cricketer Kannaur Lokesh (KL) Rahul, have made headlines with a property investment in Thane West. The duo has jointly acquired a land parcel worth Rs 9.85 crore, with the transaction officially registered in March 2025.

According to property documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website, the land is located in Owale, a rapidly developing area along Ghodbunder Road, nestled between Anand Nagar and Kasarvadavali.

This stretch is known for its strategic connectivity, serving as a key arterial link between Eastern and Western Express Highways, and offering access to business hubs across Thane, Mumbai, and the western suburbs.

According to official records, the purchase includes 7 acres of undivided land (approximately 28,327.95 sq. m) that forms part of a larger 30 acres and 17 guntha plot.

The registration of the transaction came with a stamp duty of Rs 68.96 lakh, along with registration charges of Rs 30,000.

Suniel and Ahan Shetty’s Mumbai property

In October 2024, Suniel Shetty, along with his son Ahan Shetty, acquired a property for Rs 8.01 crores. The property is located in Khar West according to registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. Back then, it was reported that the property was acquired by the father-son duo through a bank auction purchase.

The transaction was finalised in October 2024, with stamp duty fees of Rs 40.08 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Suniel Shetty will be next seen in the film Kesari Veer, co-starring Sooraj Pancholi, Vivek Oberoi, Akanksha Sharma, and others. He will also be seen sharing the screen with his Border co-star Pooja Bhatt in an action-thriller scheduled to release on Lionsgate Play.

The actor also has Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.

On the other hand, KL Rahul is currently busy with the Indian Premiere League.
