Between the rising temperature and warning of heatwave, children are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the summer vacation of the schools. In Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the summer holidays will be determined by the concerned education department and boards. However, the District Magistrate will be free to take final decisions on the basis of weather.
1. Summer vacation in Uttar Pradesh Summer holidays in Uttar Pradesh lived from May 20 to June 15 last year. This year too, the holidays are likely to start from 15 to 20 May, given the heat and heatwave. The same dates may apply in other districts including Noida. The dates of private schools may vary according to the board.
2. School holidays in Bihar Bihar is expected to change the dates of summer vacation this year as compared to 2024. Currently, summer holidays are proposed in Bihar from 2 June to 21 June 2025. However, holidays can begin in May itself in the event of heat rising. Government schools will follow the instructions of Bihar Education Department while dates may be different in private schools.
3. When will schools be closed in Delhi Due to the scorching heat in Delhi, the summer vacation in government schools is estimated to start from May 11, 2025 and stay till July 1, 2025. Private schools are also expected to start holidays from the second week of May. The temperature in Delhi has reached 41.8 degrees Celsius, which is expected to announce the holidays soon.
4. When will there be holidays in Madhya Pradesh? Government schools holidays in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled from 1 May to 15 June 2025. Children will get about 46 days off. However, changes in this schedule are possible according to the weather of the districts. In the event of heatwave, holidays can be increased in some districts.
5. Summer vacation in Rajasthan Summer holidays were from 17 May to 23 June last year due to excessive heat in Rajasthan. This year too, holidays can begin from mid -May. Summer holidays in Rajasthan will be determined by seeing climate status. Private schools can create a separate schedule as per their convenience.
