16 Naxalites have been killed in a campaign run by security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reacted to the matter. And it has been said that it was considered a part of the government’s resolution to end Naxalism. This has been said in his post on social media platform X. It is also mentioned that a large quantity of weapons were seized after the encounter.

 

Another attack on Naxalism!

In his post on social media platform X, he said, “Another shock to Naxalism! Our security agencies have killed 16 Naxalites in an operation in Sukma and seized large quantities of automatic weapons. Under PM Modi, we are firm to end Naxalism before 31 March 2026. My appeal to arms is not to bring change and development.”

 

 

 

The operation started from 28 March.

So far, the bodies of 16 Naxalites have been recovered in the ongoing anti -Naxal operation in Keralapal area of ​​Sukma district. The campaign started on March 28 after receiving information about the presence of Naxalites by a joint team of District Reserve Guard and Central Reserve Police Force. This operation has been going on since then. The encounter between Naxalites and security forces continues from 8 am on 29 March.

Weapons and ammunition seized in large quantities

Security forces have recovered a large amount of weapons and ammunition from the encounter site. Which includes AK-47, SLR, INSAS rifle, point 303 rifle, rocket launcher, BGL launcher and explosive material. The Naxalites killed in the encounter are being identified and the security forces have expressed the possibility that more Naxalites have been killed or injured in this campaign. Two DRG personnel were injured during this operation. The condition of the injured soldiers is said to be stable and they are out of danger. At present, patrol and search operations continue in the vicinity of the encounter site.
