There is a tremendous encounter between security forces and Naxalites once again in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. To eliminate the roots of Naxalism in the state, security forces are campaigning on a war footing and now this fight has reached the stronghold of Naxalites. Since this morning, a huge encounter continues in Upampalli area on the hills of Gogunda.
This operation includes DRG (District Reserve Guard) personnel and other security forces personnel. According to preliminary information, 30 to 40 Naxalites are actively involved in the encounter, while the number of security forces is also good. There is a continuous firing from both sides and the soldiers are giving a befitting reply to the Naxalites with full power.
It is believed that this operation is part of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s ‘Mission 2026’, which aims to make Chhattisgarh completely free from Naxalism. The strategy of the security forces is clear – taking out the naxalites out of their hiding locations and neutralizing them on the spot.
In this entire campaign, the soldiers are handling the front in the difficult areas of the hill and forest. Their main objective is to surround the Naxalites and end their activities. This conflict is an indication that now the government and security agencies are not in the mood to spare the Naxalites at all.
There are constant updates coming from Sukma and if there is a major change in the situation, then its official information will be given soon. The bravery and dedication of the soldiers is a proof that we are at a decisive turn to eliminate Naxalism from the root.
