International fee-status students starting their undergraduate studies in September 2025 are eligible to apply for the £3,000 Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2025 offered by the University of Sheffield’s Faculty of Engineering.
“Undergraduate students with abroad fee status who surpass the academic requirements of our regular UCAS offer will be given the grant. The Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to candidates who obtain A level grades of A*AA or higher (or the equivalent qualification in your country)”, according to the official release.
Eligibility criteria:

When completing the UCAS application procedure for admission in 2025, make The University of Sheffield your first (firm) choice.

Student should be enrolled as an undergraduate.

Candidate must be considered an international student for the purposes of paying tuition.

Student should be enrolled in every course required for the degree you have chosen.

If the candidate qualifies, the scholarship will be awarded at the beginning of the course as a cash bursary.

If you achieve AA A grades, you will receive a scholarship of £1,000. Achieving AAA grades qualifies you for a £2,000 scholarship, while achieving AAA grades will earn you the highest scholarship amount of £3,000.

After winning this scholarship, candidates will get £1,000 every academic year after that, provided they maintain an overall average grade of 70% from the year before.

These scholarships are given to all eligible students automatically when they start their studies in the Department, thus candidates won’t need to apply.
