The University of Leeds has launched its International Excellence Scholarship for 2025, which aims to attract great students from around the world. Outstanding international students studying undergraduate and graduate degrees are eligible to receive financial aid through this prize.

“We are thrilled to offer the International Excellence Scholarship to talented students from all over the world,” said Prof. Manuel Barcia, Dean of Global Engagement at the University of Leeds. This program demonstrates our commitment to creating a vibrant and welcoming learning environment and making sure that access to the life-changing education we offer is not impeded by financial constraints.

  • Number of Awards: 500

  • Scholarship Value: Covers 10%, 25%, or 50% of the tuition fee

Eligibility:

To apply for a masters International Excellence Scholarship, a candidate must:

  • The candidate will be taken into account as a foreign student for fee purposes.

  • The candidate has finished applying to master’s programs that will be open for admission in 2025–2026.

  • It is not necessary for a candidate to have been offered a place to study before applying for the scholarship.

  • Both self-funding and partial funding are options for students.

  • The applicant A bachelor’s degree with at least a 2:1 (hons) or its equivalent is required, as is a solid academic record.

  • Extracurricular activities and/or work experience highlight the candidate’s exceptional interpersonal and professional skills.

How to Apply:

  • After applying for a master’s course, students must complete the online scholarship application.

  • Visit the scholarship webpages for details on eligibility criteria, application process, and deadlines.

  • Scholarships may be awarded early in the application cycle, so applying early is recommended.

Application Deadline: Friday 16 May 2025, 5 PM UK time.

Application Outcome:

By Friday, June 13, 2025, students will be informed of the scholarship application’s outcome. Candidates must accept the scholarship within the window specified in their scholarship letter if they are chosen for it.
