Indore: Students To Atone For Making Dangerous Reel By Spreading Cyber Awareness (VIDEO) | X

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Performing dangerous stunts and violating traffic rules on an SUV to make a social media reel proved costly for three class 12 students after their video went viral on social media on Wednesday. Additional DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotiya called the students to his office.

The students reportedly informed the officer that they did violate traffic rules unknowingly. They apologised to the officer and said that they would not make such a mistake in future. On hearing this the officer gave them a unique punishment – the students need to assist the police in spreading cyber awareness in the city for a few days.

The students further said that neither will they break the rules nor will let others do the same. After hearing them, Dandotiya instructed them that they would have to make people aware of cyber frauds through social media. Now, their punishment is to make the public aware of cyber frauds.

A couple of days ago, the video of three youths falling from a Mahindra Thar car went viral on social media. Police investigation revealed that all of them are students of class 12 and in the craze of making a reel, they sat on top of the vehicle to make a video.

This accident could have been dangerous, so they were given the punishment. Dandotiya informed the media persons that the social media video did not send out a good message and the youths made reels putting their and others’ lives in danger.

This also encourages others to do the same indirectly. As a punishment, they were given cyber awareness pamphlets to make people aware of the same. Also, the students promised that they would also assist the police spread traffic awareness in the city.
