Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The students of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune were adjudged winners of RBI90 zonal round quiz competition and the team will now participate in the national level competition scheduled in Mumbai on December 6.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted the fourth Zonal Round of the RBI90 Quiz here at Hotel Mariott. The RBI90 Quiz is conducted nationwide for undergraduate students as part of the ongoing celebrations commemorating 90 years of the Reserve Bank.
The zonal round witnessed enthusiastic participation from state-level winners of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
The winning team from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra, comprising Priyanshu Mahar and UdayTej Singh secured its place in the National Round of the RBI90 Quiz, to be held on December 6, 2024, in Mumbai, where they will compete against teams qualifying from other zones.
The teams from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat and BITS Pilani-KK Birla, Goa secured the second and third places, respectively. The top three teams won prizes of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 4 lakh, and Rs 3 lakh, respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar, executive director, RBI drew attention towards the need for youngsters to develop knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about money through financial literacy and to educate others on the subject.
He highlighted efforts taken by RBI to promote financial awareness among the public through multimedia campaigns titled ‘RBI Kehta Hai’.
