Student Cries In Pain As Cop Beats & Pulls His Hair Inside Police Station In Varanasi | X
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), March 1: In a shocking incident, a police officer was suspended for brutally thrashing young students inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi on Saturday (March 1). The incident resembled a scene from the Bollywood Superhit movie “Singham” starring Ajay Devgn in which he portrays the character of a police officer and thrashes the goons inside the police station.
Chants Bajrangbali’s Name To Escape Beating
The police officer was suspended after the video of him brutally beating the students hit the internet and went viral on social media. The video shows the police officer grabbing the youth’s hair and spinning him around in circles. The panicked youth can be heard in the video calling out “Bajrangbali” for help. He was chanting Bajrangbali’s name to escape the beating, however, the police officer did not stop. He thrashed both of them by pulling their hair.
A video also showed that the police officer spins a youth by pulling his hair and the youth is heard saying, “Bhaiya, Hum Nahi The Bhaiya” (Brother, I was not there brother). The police officer did not stop even as the young man pleaded. He kept on pulling his hair while asking, “Who were the five people?”
The incident reportedly occurred inside the Sankat Mochan Police Station, where the outpost in-charge Naveen Chaturvedi is seen beating the youth by pulling his hair. An investigation was ordered by the DCP in connection with the matter, following which the decision to suspend the outpost in-charge was made. Further investigation is being carried out in connection with the matter.
Details About The Incident
As per reports, two youths identified as Nimesh Rai from Buxar and Ashish Chaubey from Bhabua were detained by the police allegedly for assaulting two youths on February 2. They both reside at a hostel in Saket Nagar for their studies. They caused severe injuries to two youths identified as Sonu and Deepak in the assault.
The police initiated an investigation and the CCTV footage revealed that the attackers were Nimesh and Ashish. The police detained both of them in the Sankat MOchan Police Outpost, where both the victims were also present. An argument broke out between them at the police outpost during the identification procedure.
Enraged Police Officer
The police officer was allegedly enraged by the argument and thrashed both the accused. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is now viral on social media. After the investigation, DCP Kashi Zone first sent the police officer to police line and later suspended him.
