Lucknow. A tough stance has been taken against teachers who have been negligent in creating an automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (immense) ID of students studying in government primary and secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh. In many districts including Lucknow, Bahraich, Kaushambi and Mainpuri, the salary of such teachers has been stopped for the month of January.
Despite the government order, only 61% of students have been able to make immense IDs, while it was directed to complete 100%. Regarding this, now Director General, School Education Kanchan Verma will review the entire matter on Wednesday.
What is immense ID and why is it necessary?
The immense ID is a digital educational record system, which will provide information related to the entire education of the students online.
How many students are there in the state?
- 1.54 crore students: 1.33 lakh council in primary and upper primary schools.
- More than 1 crore students: 2,440 in state secondary schools and 4,500 non -government aided secondary schools.
Benefits:
The entire educational history of students will remain digital.
There will be ease during future transfer or admission.
The benefits of government schemes will be able to reach the students directly.
61% of immense ID, resentment over the negligence of teachers
So far, only 61% of students have been able to make immense IDs, which has increased resentment in the government. Especially those schools, where less than 50% IDs have been made, have been ordered to stop the salaries of teachers.
Teachers opposed
In Lucknow, the teachers opposed this decision and met the Basic Education Officer Ram Pravesh and explained their problem, but there is no relief yet. The salary of teachers has also been stopped in other districts.
Director of Secondary Education
Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Mahendra Dev made it clear that it has been ordered to stop the salaries of teachers of government and aided secondary schools. Instructions have been issued to the district school inspectors (DIOS) of all the districts.
Which teachers are being acted upon?
- Teachers who made immense IDs of less than 50% students.
- Schools where ID making pace is very slow.
Teachers’ union objected, clarification
State President of Uttar Pradesh BTC Teachers Association Anil Yadav opposed this decision and said that due to lack of technical problems and support of parents, there is a problem in creating IDs.
Problems of teachers:
Many parents are not providing the Aadhaar card of their children.
Due to technical problems, there is difficulty in uploading data.
Teachers are being given full burden, while other staff are not getting support.
