Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The opposition Congress party launched a scathing attack against ruling BJP after Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan complained about being allotted a broken seat in Air India on Saturday. It slammed the saffron party, accusing it of ruining every sector—from rail to air, and drumming ‘Sab Changa Si’ (All good), as PM Modi said during an event abroad.
Congress reposted Union Minister Chouhan’s post when he complained about being allotted a broken seat onboard Air India. It wrote, “The Modi government has ruined every sector.
• Passengers are troubled on trains.
• Passengers are distressed on the plane. People keep complaining and keep making videos, but there is no hearing.
“Now Shivraj ji has a problem, so he is posting on social media; maybe action will be taken on this. But the situation is not going to improve, because the system needs to be fixed from the top. Also, there is no time to beat the drum of ‘sab changa si.’. People suffer.”
Madhya Pradesh Congress also reposted the Nation Congress’ post from its official handle.
Earlier today, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticised Air India’s services for cheating customers. He wrote on X, “I was under a false impression that Air India’s service would have improved after the takeover by the Tata Group. I was allotted a broken seat 8C. Several passengers offered to swap the seats. But why should I bother others for my comfort? So I decided to continue my journey on the broken seat.
“I don’t care about sitting in discomfort, but it is unethical to charge full price from the customer and then not even give a proper seat.”
Air India appologises
Replying to the minister, Air India posted an apology on X, saying, “Dear Sir, we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please be rest assured that we are looking into this matter carefully to prevent any such occurrences in the future. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you; kindly DM us a convenient time to connect.”
