Telugu star Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday, December 13, in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred at the premiere of his recently released movie Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, which led to the death of a woman named Revathi. However, he was granted bail after spending a night in Chanchalguda Jail.

Now, a shocking video shows The Joint Action Committee of Osmania University members (OU-JAC) attacking Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad. The videos capture the activists pelting stones at his residence.

On Sunday, a group of Osmania University members created chaos outside Arjun’s residence, and throwing tomatoes. Flower pots inside the residence were also damaged during the incident.

Soon after, the cops and arrested eight individuals in connection with the incident and they were subsequently taken to the Jubilee Hills Police Station.

Allu Arjun was not at his residence when the incident took place.

According to India Today, the members were attempting to force entry into the actor’s residence and demanding 1 crore compensation to Revathi’s family. They also demanded justice to the 8-year-old victim, Sri Tej, who is undergoing treatment at a private super-speciality hospital in Hyderabad after getting injured in the stampede.

This comes hours after Allu Arjun issued a statement on Sunday appealing his fans to not resort to any kind of abusive language or behaviour, both online and offline, amid fresh allegations against him in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.

He wrote, “I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behavior both online and offline. Misrepresentation as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request the fans to not engage with such posts”.
