The market started with a rise today. The Sensex was trading at 76,736.43, up 224.77 points or 0.30 percent. At the same time, Nifty is seen at the level of 23,227.65 with an increase of 51.60 points or 0.22 percent.

Positive trend in global markets:

The stability and boom in foreign markets also affected the Indian market. Return of foreign investors: The market got support from increased buying by FIIs (Foreign Institutional Investors).

Good performance was seen in banking, IT and automobile sectors today.

Stability in rupee and crude oil, relief to import dependent sectors

Indian Rupee opened marginally stronger today at 86.52 per dollar. A day earlier on Monday it was at a historic low of 86.69. Rupee strengthened due to weakening of dollar index, which provided some relief to import dependent sectors.
