On the last day of the month, on February 28, the stock market fell drastically. Both the Sensex and Nifty have recorded a huge decline. The Sensex -1,420.08 points fell to close at 73,192.35, while the Nifty -418.70 points fell at 22,126.35. The Indian stock market saw a huge decline on Friday. Investors weakened after news related to US President Donald Trump’s tariff policy.

 

Market closed with the biggest decline

On the first day of the march series, the market was seen in red mark. The market closed at the lowest level of about 9 months. The Nifty saw the biggest intraday decline in 8 months. Selling was observed in all regional indices of BSE. Midcap and smallcap indices saw heavy selling. IT, auto, PSE indices declined the most. Selling was seen in energy, pharma and metal shares.
