Champions Trophy 2025: The Indian team has suffered a big setback before the Champions Trophy 2025. Star Indian batsmen have been injured before this ICC event starting from 19th February. This player was part of the Indian team during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. However, the batsman remained on the bench throughout the tournament. He did not get a chance to play even a single match.
This batsman is middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan. Sarfaraz Khan will not be able to play in the upcoming Ranji Trophy tour due to injury. The next tour of Ranji Trophy will start from 23 February and will be played till 26 January. Meanwhile, Mumbai team will face Jammu and Kashmir. The match will start at 9:30 am Indian time.
Mumbai middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan has informed the Mumbai Cricket Association that he has a rib fracture and will not be available for selection. It is not clear how serious the injury is. Sarfaraz was a part of the Indian team that went on Australia tour, but he did not get a chance to play any match.
An MCA official said, ‘He has a rib injury. He has informed us that he will not play in the upcoming Ranji Trophy tour. Since he is under contract with BCCI, the National Cricket Academy will medically evaluate him and inform us.
