Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that investment proposals of Rs 26.61 lakh crore were received during the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) on Tuesday. If investment proposals received in Regional Industries Conclave (RIC), Interactive Session and GIS are clubbed together then the state received investment proposals of Rs 30.77 lakh crore. He was addressing a press conference after the conclusion of GIS. He said that more than 85 Memorandum of Understandings were signed during GIS.
After GIS, the government is going to scrutinise proposals and will contact investors so that investment could come to the ground level. Giving details of investment proposals received from different industrial houses, he said that the journey of the state will continue even after the conclusion of GIS. Underlining the pledge to create new opportunities, he said that skill development programmes will be strengthened, industrial infrastructure will be made world class and ease of doing business would be made excellent. He added that during Congress regime, industrial growth was minus. The GIS will prove a milestone and will take the state economy to new heights. To boost industrialisation, 32 types of permissions have been reduced to ten.
Convention centre to come up in city
The CM announced to construct a convention centre in Bhopal and a sum would be allocated shortly in this regard. In future, big programmes will be held at the convention centre. He also announced that Bhopal will be developed as the most beautiful capital by taking care of its water bodies, infrastructure, road network, etc.
