MP April 26 Weather Updates: State Scorches Under Severe Heatwave; Bhopal And Indore Division Likely To Experience Drizzle, Offering Temporary Relief | FPJ
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The state continues to witness intense heatwave as the temperature soars up to 41°C in several districts.
According to the meteorological department, most district saw a stable and constant effect of heat. Most of the district’s daytime temperature ranged above 42°C.
On Friday, Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district , recorded seaoson’s highest temperature at 44.6 °C . Gwalior and Jabalpur recorded around 40 °C. Damoh, Guna, Shivpuri, Satna and Sagar also recorded 40 °C or more.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of hot winds in the last part of April. The highest maximum temperature in the state has been recorded in Khajuraho at 44.6 °C.
The maximum temperature in the major cities across the state has seen an upward trend. Gwalior witnessed an intense heat with 43°C, Narmadapuram recorded 42.02°C, Jabalpur at 41.5 °C , followed by Ujjain at 41.4°C Bhopal recorded 41.02 °C, while Indore at 40°C.
Heat wave alert in 10 districts
The weather department has issued an alert for heat wave in 10 districts of the state on Saturday.
These districts include Burhanpur, Khandwa, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Datia, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari and Pandhurna districts.
Possibility of drizzle in these divisions
Despite the scorching heat some parts of the state might witness drizzles. According to a senior Meteorological Center scientist, currently a western disturbance is formed in the form of a trough over Pakistan and Jammu
There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some districts of Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Shivpuri, Vidisha, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Narmadapuram division on Saturday. There may also be the effect of heat wave in some areas in these areas.
Clouds will remain in Bhopal and Indore divisions on Saturday
According to the meteorological department, due to the western direction of the wind, moisture is coming from the Arabian Sea. Because of which, Indore and Bhopal division might witness scattered clouds throughout the day with a slight possibility of drizzle.
However, due to the humidity, thunderstorms may occur in many cities. This kind of weather may persist for three days.
