January Expected to Be Colder
From December 20, a severe cold wave is predicted to hit the state, lasting until January. During this 40-day period, icy winds may dominate for 20-22 days, especially in Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal regions, due to the direct flow of chilly winds. Light rain (locally known as mawatha) is also expected in the second half of December.
A Meteorologist stated that Cyclone ‘Fengal’ in the eastern region has intensified winds. Light rain is anticipated in Chhindwara, Seoni, and nearby areas on December 3-4.
