The men’s match in Thane was packed with powerful tackles and swift raids, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Ultimately, Swastik Krida Mandal won 33-30, thanks to their sharp coordination and last-minute brilliance, lifting the trophy in front of a roaring crowd.
In the women’s final, the much-anticipated clash between Dr. Shirodkar and Shivshakti turned out to be a nail-biter. Both teams displayed excellent tactical play and steely nerves, but it was Dr. Shirodkar who held their composure in crucial moments to clinch the title with a 26-21 win. Their disciplined defense and smart raiding proved to be the winning formula.
With 68 men’s and 68 women’s teams battling over five days, the tournament concluded in grand fashion at Thane, celebrating the spirit, strength, and skill of kabaddi.
United Chirang Duar edged past Elevenstar Club
United Chirang Duar edged past Elevenstar Club 2-1 in the Assam State Premier League at Mirza Stadium. With 55% possession, United Chirang Duar held a slight upper hand and capitalized on their chances, converting two of their seven shots — both on target — into goals. Elevenstar Club managed one goal from six shots, but their lack of precision in front of goal cost them dearly.
