Ankur Sangh, Mumbai Upnagar claimed the Abhay Rane Mitra Mandal Ayojit Rajyastariya Kabaddi Spardha title after beating Jolly Sports Club, Mumbai Upnagar in the final on Saturday. The three-day state-level Kabaddi tournament was held from May to 3 at Kankavli.

Demonstrating skillful play and strategic dominance, Ankur Sangh claimed the championship title with a dominant performance in the final, managing a score line of 26-15. The event was a grand success, reflecting the region’s deep-rooted love for Kabaddi and the collective efforts of Abhay Rane Mitra Mandal in promoting sportsmanship and talent at the grassroots level. The league was being live streamed on SportVot in association with FPJ.

United Chirang Duar beat Haluating United FC

United Chirang Duar secured a resounding 4–0 victory over Haluating United FC in a well-contested match of the Assam State Premier League at Mirza Stadium. After a goalless first half that extended into five minutes of added time, the second half saw United Chirang Duar shift gears. The first goal came in the 49th minute, scored by Kaushik Daimari, followed swiftly by a second in the 52nd minute by Nicodim Narzary.

Kaushik Daimari struck again in the 84th minute, completing his brace, before Dinner Narzinari sealed the game with a fourth goal in the 90th minute. Statistically, United Chirang Duar dominated possession with 55% against Haluating United’s 45%, registering 9 shots (5 on target) to their opponent’s 2 shots (1 on target).

Both teams had minimal set-piece opportunities with 1 corner each and 3 offsides against 2. The win highlighted United Chirang Duar’s tactical discipline and attacking strength.
