A state level tennis competition was organized in Nicole Sports Complex of Ahmedabad and Khokhra Sports Complex and Gymkhana Sector 21 of Gandhinagar under Khel Mahakumbh 3.0.
Players from different districts of the state participated in the state level by winning the open age, over 40 years and the age group of more than 60 years. In a single competition of open age group brothers, Tirtha Doshi won the gold medal, Rahul Thakor and Vimal Thakor won the gold medal in the brothers ‘doubles competition, Khushali Modi and Dimitri Basco won the gold medal in the mixed doubles competition, Khushali Modi won the gold medal in the sisters’ singles competition and Jewar Timania and Sakshi Mahida won the golden medal in sisters. In the over 40 age group, Raviraj Singh Jadeja won the gold medal in the brothers ‘single competition, Prannoy Parikh and Jimit Kakkar won the gold medal in the brothers’ doubles competition, Chetan Thakor and Manisha Mehta won the gold medal in the mixed doubles competition, Hiral Patel won the gold medal in sisters, and Manisha Mehta and Sejal Shah won the golden medal in the sisters.
In the age group of 60 years, Indravadan Patel won the gold medal in the brothers ‘singles competition, Gaurav Vyas and Vinod Amalani won the gold medal in the brothers’ doubles competition, and Yogendra Shah and Manuja Shah won the gold medal in the mixed doubles competition. The winners of the competition were encouraged by the state government by giving medals.
