India’s star female shooter and Paris Olympics double medalist Manu Bhaker has resumed training but will not participate in the Yoni National Championships next month. After the Paris Games, this is the second major tournament in which Manu has refused to participate.
He had earlier also withdrawn his name from the ISSF Shooting World Cup Finals event held in Delhi in October. His coach Jaspal Rana said that Manu Bhaker will not participate in the National Championships as it is too early to return to training and he is not fit to participate in major tournaments. The Indian shooter is currently in Europe with her coach where she is focusing on strengthening her grip. Apart from this, there are some aspects on which work is currently being done. No comment can be made at this time. It is expected that after some changes, Manu’s performance will be better in future.
