The Test series between India and England will begin on June 20. Gambhir is preparing a blueprint of all formats for the next two years. The roadmap also includes the World Test Championship and the 2026 T20 World Cup. I do not want to mix serious formats. ODI and T20 teams will vary. Hardly any player except some senior players will play in both formats. Keeping in mind the T20 World Cup 2026, this year’s IPL can prove to be important.
The BCCI has not appointed coaches for A-teams, so it remains to be seen whether the board will go to England for serious inspection or VVS will hand over the role to Laxman. After Rahul Dravid became the head coach of the senior team, the board replaced the coaches from the NCA pool for India A and Under-19 teams.
