The year 2024 has been full of ups and downs for the Indian cricket team and Team India’s cricket schedule will remain busy in 2025 also. India last won the Champions Trophy in 2013 and lost the final to Pakistan in 2017. After the series defeat against Australia, India’s path in the World Test Championship is difficult, but the door to the final is not closed yet. If India beats Australia in the fifth Test, then it will have to pray that the Australian team does not win the two-match series against Sri Lanka. In such a situation, India can reach the final. The final of the World Test Championship will be played in London between 11 and 15 June.
ODI series to be played against Australia
India will play a series against Australia in late 2025. The team will now play a series of three ODIs and five T20 matches against Australia at home in November. After this, India will play a series of two Tests, three ODIs and five T20 matches against South Africa in November and December.
India will go on England-Bangladesh tour
Team India will go to Britain to play a five-Test series between June and August. After the series against Australia, England’s challenge in 2025 will be from the Indian team. Both teams will play a Test series between June 20 and August 4, which will be part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship. After England, India will tour Bangladesh for a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches in August. The date of which has not been announced.
Hosting of Windies and Asia Cup
After the Bangladesh tour, India will host West Indies for a two-match Test series. The dates of that series have also not been announced yet but it will be played in October. After the West Indies series, the team will participate in the Asia Cup, which will be played in T20 format. It will be organized in India in October-November, in which six teams will participate, in which the challenge will be for the defending champions India to win the title.
