Avinash Jamwal of India, while performing brilliantly, defeated Italy’s Gianlouigi Malanga and entered the final of the 65 kg category of Boxing World Cup in Brazil’s Foj Do Iguaku city.
Twenty -two -year -old Avinash succeeded in Malaga’s reach out of reach, using his height and speed. He won by a unanimous vote of 5–0. Four of the five judges gave Jamwal a full 30 marks. Another Indian boxer Manish Rathore lost 0–5 to Nursultan Ultinbeck in Kazakhstan in the semi-finals of the 55 kg weight category.
