Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The weather department forecasts activation of a new weather system in the next three days, whereas, the spell of rain and hail is expected to end on Sunday.

Over the next three days, temperatures will rise by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius.

What do meteorologists say?

According to the Meteorological Department, a new weather system will impact the state from March 25 – March 26.

A western disturbance will become active on Sunday, affecting the western Himalayan region. Its impact may be seen in Madhya Pradesh two days later. 

Weathermen say, temperatures will rise further from March 27 – March 31. Some areas may experience heatwave conditions, with temperatures crossing 40°C. A heatwave is declared when the temperature is 4.6°C or more above normal.

The summer season has officially begun, and the next four months will be extremely hot. 

The Meteorological Department predicts 15-20 days of heatwave conditions from March to May. April and May will be the hottest months, with hot winds blowing for 30-35 days.

Weather expected on Monday 

On March 24, the day is expected to be sunny with no rainfall warnings.

On Saturday, different regions of the state experienced mixed weather. While Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain saw bright sunshine, districts like Shahdol, Rewa, Sidhi, Mauganj, and Anuppur faced heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds.

Bhopal experienced intense heat on Saturday morning, with the maximum temperature crossing 34°C. Similar weather conditions were observed in Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior.
