Mirzapur, 2 December (HS). As per the instructions of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police, Mirzapur Police launched the Student Police Experiential Learning (SPEL) programme. This program organized in the Police Line Auditorium on Monday was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Abhinandan and Nodal Officer Additional Superintendent of Police Operation Omprakash Singh.
The objective of the program is to give undergraduate students first-hand experience of the functioning of the police department, the pressures, and their role in society, thereby helping in improving the negative image of the police. The SPEL program is a worthwhile effort to strengthen the trust between the police and the public along with skill development of the students. In the program, students asked questions related to police work pressure and stress. The Additional Superintendent of Police appealed to the society to be alert and cooperate with the police.

Women Helpdesk, Beat Policing, and Patrolling Process
Scene monitoring and crowd management
Community Policing Initiative
Briefing of senior officials
Introduction of units like Cyber Police Station, Mahila Police Station and UP 112.
Guidance by Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police.
