Agra: In a disturbing incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, a young man was killed after a speeding car, reportedly driven under the influence of alcohol, spiralled out of control and hit him outside his house in Tajganj. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, May 18, was captured on CCTV, and the footage has since gone viral.

According to reports, the man, who was driving the car in an intoxicated state, lost control of the vehicle near a residential area. As the car swerved, it struck the victim fatally, leaving local residents in shock.
DCP Agra confirmed the incident on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “The dead body has been sent for post-mortem after filling the Panchayatnama and further necessary legal action is being taken.”

The car driver has been taken into custody by local police.
Earlier in March, in a devastating early morning crash on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, four people lost their lives and 19 others sustained injuries after a bus collided with a truck in Agra’s Fatehabad area. The accident occurred as the bus, en route from Lucknow to Agra, reportedly attempted to overtake another vehicle and rammed into a truck.
According to Police Station Incharge DP Tiwari, the incident took place near the 27-kilometre mark of the expressway. The bus, bearing registration number RJ18PB5811, lost control while overtaking and crashed into a truck registered as RJ11GD0561. The impact of the collision was severe, leading to the immediate death of four passengers and injuring several others. Emergency services were rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
