Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): A speeding passenger bus, going from Petlawad to Kanwan, overturned between Koteshwar and Kod village on Saturday evening, injuring 12 passengers. According to information, the bus overturned while trying to save a bike rider. Nine of the 12 were brought to a hospital in Badnawar.
Seven people from the same family, including Devkanya (65), Madanlal (60), Dhruvabai (55), Manjubai (55), Ranjubai (50), Tama (40), and Sumitrabai (70), all residents of Kardavad village under Petlawad police station, were injured. Two others, Govind Bhil (26), a resident of Shankarpura village and Prashila Bhil (22), a resident of Kesarpura village were also injured.
Govind suffered serious injuries on the face, while Prashila is pregnant. The remaining three injured passengers who sustained minor injuries were taken to a hospital in Kod village. All the injured were brought to Badnawar Hospital in an ambulance.
Dr Krishna Rathore and Dr Deepak Bundela gave first aid to the wounded. Upon receiving information, tehsildar Suresh Nagar, SDOP Arvind Singh Tomar and Kanwan police station in-charge Abhay Nema also reached the hospital and enquired about the injured.

Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): The police apprehended an accused who had been absconding for 16 years, following a concerted effort led by SP Padmavilochan Shukla. The accused was Nana Vasunia, a resident of Jhayda village under Kalyanpura outpost.
Under the guidance of SDO Saurabh Tomar, the Kalyanpura outpost team arrested Vasunia, who was wanted for robbery and dacoity in four states, with a cumulative reward of Rs 45,000 announced for his capture. Vasunia had evaded law enforcement for years, utilising his residence in a hilly, dense forest to escape multiple raids conducted by police from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
On receiving credible information about his return from Gujarat, the police formed a joint team and executed a raid at Garia Nala, leading to his arrest. During interrogation, Vasunia admitted to forming a gang involved in multiple robberies across states.
