Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): The police apprehended an accused who had been absconding for 16 years, following a concerted effort led by SP Padmavilochan Shukla. The accused was Nana Vasunia, a resident of Jhayda village under Kalyanpura outpost.

Under the guidance of SDO Saurabh Tomar, the Kalyanpura outpost team arrested Vasunia, who was wanted for robbery and dacoity in four states, with a cumulative reward of Rs 45,000 announced for his capture. Vasunia had evaded law enforcement for years, utilising his residence in a hilly, dense forest to escape multiple raids conducted by police from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

On receiving credible information about his return from Gujarat, the police formed a joint team and executed a raid at Garia Nala, leading to his arrest. During interrogation, Vasunia admitted to forming a gang involved in multiple robberies across states.
