Former Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra on 14 December. Answered about joining politics

Raghuram Rajan has once again talked about the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He also answered the question whether he is going to enter Indian politics in the near future

Raghuram Rajan said, he participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra because he felt it necessary as a citizen. India’s biggest strength is its democracy but there is a threat to social harmony and mutual equality in India. Being an Indian citizen, he is aware of the country’s issues and understands his responsibility towards them, so he joined the journey only as a participant. No political meaning should be attached to it.

Raghuram Rajan also said that he has no plans to enter politics and the speculations behind him joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra have no basis.

What is Raghuram Rajan’s take on the forecast for next year?

Raghuram Rajan was also interviewed by Rahul Gandhi and in that the former RBI Governor Rajan had said that the growth rate across the world will decrease next year. Interest rates are being increased continuously and this will affect India as well. Interest rates in India have also increased, but exports from India continue to decline. Inflation in India is due to increase in commodity prices, inflation of greens and vegetables will work negatively for the development of the country.
