‘Gidhadanvar Bolu Kahi’: Special Programme In Nashik Tomorrow To Discuss Declining Vulture Population | Sourced
In an effort to create a people’s movement for the conservation of endangered vulture species, Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Nashik, and Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj have jointly organised a special programme titled ‘Gidhadanvar Bolu Kahi’.
The event will take place on Friday, February 7, at 11:30am in the Seminar Hall of IMRT College, Gangapur Road, Nashik. Experts working on vulture conservation will guide the session, discussing critical topics such as ‘The Declining Number of Vultures in Maharashtra and Nashik District, Their Habitat, and the Role of Informed Citizens in Vulture Conservation.’
Several organisations and individuals are actively working to increase the vulture population in Nashik district and across Maharashtra. This programme, organised by Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, MVP Nashik, MahaMTB, and Give Foundation, aims to bring together these efforts on a single platform to strengthen conservation initiatives.
