AB de Villiers on Virat Kohli: Team India’s defeat in Australia has disappointed the Indian fans a lot. Neither King Kohli nor Hitman Rohit could face the Australian attack. After facing a whitewash at the hands of New Zealand in the home series, the Indian legends who went on Australia tour could not do anything big and came under attack from the fans. Virat Kohli scored three figures (100*) only once in 9 innings. He kept losing his wickets like this throughout the series.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma struggled to score runs on the Australia tour, leading India to a 1-3 defeat in the 5-match series. Kohli scored only 190 runs in 9 innings of this series. He was out continuously trying to play the ball going outside the off stump. To get Kohli out of this bad phase, his special friend AB de Villiers has once again come to his rescue.

South African legend AV de Villiers has advised his former RCB teammate Virat Kohli to reset his mind and not get into any controversies on the field to recover from his poor form. We have always seen that whenever Virat Kohli has come under criticism due to his form, De Villiers has supported him.

De Villiers said on X, ‘I think we need to reset our mind from time to time. I think Virat gets involved in fights on the field. This is its biggest strength and this can also be its biggest weakness. During this series, we saw that he had a personal fight with some players and the spectators harassed him. Virat loves fighting but when you are not in the best form of your life then it is best to get rid of all these things. It is important to reinvent yourself as a batsman. Every ball matters no matter who the bowler is.

This is not the first time that De Villiers has returned to form after Kohli. During England’s 2021 tour of India, Kohli did not perform well in the Test series and was able to score only 172 runs in 6 innings of 4 Test matches. After this, he was out for zero (0) runs in the very first match of the T20 series. Kohli was very worried about his form. He talked to De Villiers about his return to form.
