Bettiah. District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Rai inspected the Champaran embankment in Bairia Block and the anti -erosion work issued there. Expressing displeasure over the slow progress of the work during the inspection, the District Magistrate reprimanded the sensor and gave clear instructions that all the work should be completed by May 30.
He directed the officials that the protective works being done on the embankment should be completely and quality in view of the threat of potential floods. The District Magistrate said that time -bound and strong work is the basic basis of disaster management.
The District Magistrate directed the Sub -Divisional Officer, Bettiah Sadar to continuously monitor and review the work. Also warned that if the work is not completed on time, strict action will be taken against the concerned.
During the inspection, Superintendent of Police Dr. Shaurya Suman, Deputy Development Commissioner Sumit Kumar, Additional Collector (Revenue) Rajiv Kumar Singh, Additional Collector (Departmental Investigation) Kumar Ravindra, Sub -Divisional Officer Vinod Kumar, Special Affairs Officer Sujit Kumar, Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer and other officials were also present.
