Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Soon, the system of making Aadhaar cards in rural areas would be expanded to ensure that every person in the division had this identification number, said divisional commissioner Deepak Singh on Wednesday.
Speaking during a virtual collectors’ conference, he said a drive would be launched to make Aadhar cards at the gram panchayat level and directed all the collectors of the division to prepare an action plan and run a special drive. He said that the incomplete work of Jal Jeevan Mission should be completed soon by running a campaign in the division.
Indore collector Asheesh Singh as well as collectors of districts of the division and officers of the departments concerned were present in the conference. Singh mainly reviewed the progress of Revenue Maha Abhiyan, Chief Minister Jan Kalyan Abhiyan, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman card making campaign etc. district wise.
He said all the campaigns should be expedited and the set targets should be achieved within the time limit. Efforts should be made to ensure the campaigns were -oriented and effective. He was informed that under the Revenue Maha Abhiyan, 100% targets of transfer, partition, demarcation etc. had been achieved in the division.
Action was underway to achieve the targets of record correction and traditional path cases. The divisional commissioner said that all the collectors should ensure that all the revenue officers visited their respective areas regularly and interacted with the villagers, listening to their problems and resolving them on the spot. He also reviewed the progress of making Ayushman cards for people above 70 years of age and directed that no one should be deprived.
