Bhagalpur, 18 November (HS). A situation of tension has been created between the two sides due to hoisting of flags at a religious place at Tamtam Chowk in Lalmatia police station area of the district on Monday. After the information, City SP of Bhagalpur immediately reached the spot. Ramdas, DSP-2 Rakesh Kumar, Nathnagar Inspector Rajeev Ranjan Singh, Lalmatia police station incharge Rajeev Ranjan, police from several police stations and people of Puja Committee and Peace Committee reached there and pacified the matter. Police is camping at the Chowk intersection regarding the matter. At present the situation is said to be normal.
Regarding the matter, City SP Dr K Ramdas said that a flag of a special color was installed at a religious place at Lalmatia Chowk. The accused will be arrested soon after examining the CCTV camera video footage. He said the situation is under control. It is noteworthy that recently, during the immersion of the black idol, a young man had climbed the outer wall of the religious place and hoisted a special colored flag. The miscreant was arrested by the police within 24 hours.
