Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has launched a special campaign for the power consumers of the state, under which consumers will no longer need to go round the power office. The campaign has started from Muradnagar in Ghaziabad and will be gradually applied to other areas as well.
What is this new campaign?

Electricity department team will go door-to-door KYC (Know Your Customer) information

In this, consumers’ name, address, phone number, connection capacity, load etc. will be updated.

Thousands of consumers will get relief from this initiative, especially those who have changed the phone number or whose information is incomplete or wrong in the records of the electricity department.
Online KYC facility is also available

Consumers who have internet facility can go to the Electricity Department website and update KYC by themselves.

Apart from this, consumers can also update your mobile number and other details by calling helpline number 1912.

This will not cause problems in services like electricity bill, load update, meter reading
Responsibility of officers fixed

Meter readers and sub -station officers of every region will be responsible for this campaign

Team will provide KYC form and necessary information to consumers from house to house

The campaign will be reviewed weekly and data will be updated on the main server of the electricity department

SC Yadav, SDO of Ravali Road Sub-Center, said: “This campaign has been started for the convenience of consumers so that they do not have to go to the power office again and again. The campaign will be further intensified from next month.”
