Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 18 (.): SP leader and Samajwadi Party Mainpuri MP Dimple Yadav on Monday expressed confidence in the party’s victory in the Uttar Pradesh by-polls and accused the BJP of desperate tactics, trying to win at any cost by pressuring officials and attempting to m.pulate votes.
“Today is the last day of the campaign, but I am sure that the Samajwadi Party is winning with great enthusiasm from Sisamau…I think the BJP wants to win this seat at any cost. They are putting pressure on the officials. They are trying to steal the votes through the officials. People from all sections of society have made up their minds to remove BJP,” Dimple Yadav told ..
She further criticized the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s s ‘batenge toh katenge’ slogan as unacceptable and reflective of the party’s harmful ideology.
“The kind of statements made by UP CM Yogi Adityanath are not acceptable in India. This shows what kind of mentality he has,” Dimple Yadav said.

The slogan “Batenge toh Katenge,” coined by CM Yogi, advocates for Hindu unity but has been widely condemned by opposition leaders, who allege it carries communal undertones.
The slogan has sparked a war of words between the BJP and opposition parties.
Notably, the Election Commission has postponed by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Punjab to November 20 from November 13.
The nine assembly seats where bypolls are being held include Meerapur, Kundarki, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, and Katehari.
